The Moon
Card XVIII
Ruled By Pisces

The dark
landscape beneath the Moon is full of threats. The lobster
or crayfish in the pool in the foreground symbolizes the
primitive mind rising towards the light. Two beasts,
usually identified as a
dog and a wolf, stand before two towers. The wolf
symbolizes wildness and animal instincts, while the dog
represents domesticity and mundane life. Both of these are
a trap; the truth lies between them on the rocky road that
leads over the horizon under the watchful gaze of the
mysterious Moon.
Meaning: Take care, for all is not as it seems. you need
to use your intuition to deal with a deceptive situation.
The path you are on is difficult and may cause fear, but
continue along it, even if you are beset by doubts,
because all will eventually turn out well. This card is
favorable if you are involved in a clandestine affair.
Reversed meaning: Unforeseen perils, lies and terrible
risks. Be very careful indeed. Hidden enemies lurk and you
will have to keep your wits about you if you are to defeat
their wiles.
